Ear Candling Therapy

This is a gentle therapy for those who suffer from ear, nose and throat problems.

This treatment is often sought as it is gentle and non-invasive.  If it is done on a regular basis it can reduce the need for syringing. 

It can be used on children over the age of 3 (provided they keep still long enough of course). 

This treatment is NOT suitable for anyone who has a grommit fitted, is suffering from a perforated ear drum or in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

The candles are a cylindrical construction with an outer casing of cotton impregnated with beeswax.  The interior is cotton flax impregnated with herbs.  There is also a filter to prevent any burning material from falling into the ear.  A red line marks the point at which the candle should be removed.

As the candle burns there is a gentle warming sensation as the heat, together with the slight aroma from the herbs permeates through the sinus cavaties helping to relieve congestion. 

You will then be treated with Manual Lymphatic Drainage Facial which is specifically designed to work on the sinus areas and encourage lymph flow.

At the end of the session I open the filters and analyse any residue, none of which will be wax from the ear, the residue is merely the unabsorbed elements of the candle itself. If you have been told otherwise or wish to question the last statement please contact me.
